Tromsødialekten er helt feil. De snakker ganske «pent» og litt slepent i Tromsø. Det er derimot mange spesielle dialekter på yttersida.

This is funny,my late father was Norwegian,I was born in Ireland however I lived in Oslo, Frogner,not sure of my spelling? anyway I'm told I spoke Bokmol the main language, sorry again my spelling isn't good .I understand some when it's spoken to me and I can write some simple sentences with mistakes.I have an accent but now listening to this I can understand my accent is a little Norwegian and Somerset with inner London dialect also.

Norwegian is more a sing-songy language, Swedish sounds more nasal and Danish more guttural.

But why do Nordics nowadays have accents almost similar to Midwestern Americans?

It's funny how similar these are to accents you'll find in the UK.

My Dad(from Bergen) and my husband(a Norlander) sound somewhat like this. I love it!!

Hearing a Norwegian person speak English (like the intro) I often hear that it is very similar to a Dutch person speaking English. I would even say go as far that Norwegian and Dutch accents are more alike than German and Dutch
